Prices

Below are the prices for the 2008 Summer Spanish and Surf Programs. Please take a look at each program as they all have different prices as well as specifics as to what is included.

Many of our students choose to do two of our Teen Spanish programs in Playa Dominical during one summer. This is a wonderful way to combine the best aspects of our different programs into the same trip. Students wishing to attend two or more of our programs during the same summer will receive a price break off the normal price.

Playa Dominical Teen Surf and Spanish Program (Ages 14- 17)
The regular price of the program is $2800, and the price for two sessions is $5200. Students can add private lessons to this program for $20/hour. Also, students that want to have more surfing lessons can sign up for additional hours of surfing instruction at $35/hour. If interested students must sign up for a minimum of 2 hours. This is a great option for beginners and experienced surfers alike to increase the amount of surfing they do on the program.

Included in this program are: All adventure tours and activities (a list of activities is below), three half-day surf lessons, use of surfboards, lodging in a three star resort, Welcome to Cost Rica dinner, three meals per day, three hours per day of Spanish instruction, study materials, all in country transportation, health/travel insurance and bilingual guides.

In the Playa Dominical, Costa Rica camp, the adventure activities included are: A day long river rafting trip on class 3 & 4 rapids, horseback riding to a waterfall, zip lining through the forest canopy, boat ride and snorkelling trip to Cano Island and overnight visit to the Corcovado Rainforest National Park.

In the Puerto Escondido, Mexico camp the adventure activities included are: River Rafting on a class 2 & 3 river, horseback riding to a waterfall, deep see fishing and snorkelling with the dolphins, night visit to turtle sanctuary to help in breeding program and estuary boat trip to view crocodiles and iguanas.

In each location students will participate in a beach clean up effort to protect the natural environment. Other volunteer activities are also available.

Start Dates:
Playa Dominical, Costa Rica, June 15th – June 28th, June 29th – July 12th & July 13th – July 26th
Puerto Escondido, Mexico, August 2nd – Aug. 16th

Cancellation Policy for Costa Rica and Mexico: There is a nonrefundable $200 registration fee. A refund 50% of the balance of the deposit up to 8 weeks prior to the start of the program. Once we receive full payment for the program, we will refund 50% of the total amount minus the cost of the airline ticket (if applicable) and registration fee until the start of the program. Once the program has begun, there is NO refund of the program price. Cancellation of the program must be made in writing, either by e-mail or letter. We understand that emergencies do arise and we would be happy to address these cancellations on a case by case basis.

San Sebastian, Spain Program
(Program starts every Monday from June to end of August except absolute Spanish beginners who start on July 7 or August 4)

The prices for the San Sebastian are based on a per week basis. As students travel to this program from all over the world, and are many different nationalities, flights are not included in this price. Prices are in Euros (the Spanish and European currency)

Prices 2008  

Registration Fee: 50 €
Course & Activities: 308 € per week plus 82€  per week for surfing (this includes up to 5 days per week, and includes surf board)

Accommodation
Placement Fee: 50 €
Full board with single room: 257 € per week (extra day: 42 €)
Full board with shared room (this is two friends travelling together): 196 € per week (extra day: 32 €)

• Accommodation is from the Sunday before the course starts to the Saturday after the course ends. Extra days are available. Accommodation includes breakfast and dinner with the family plus a packed lunch. Families are located 5 to 30 minutes from the school on foot or by public transport.
  
  Transfer service is available to and from local airports. Email us for details and pricing.
   
• Insurance. Students must buy a travel insurance plan before arriving.
  
  Cancellations. 21 or more days before the course starts, refund of all fees minus 100 E for administration costs. 20 or less days before the course starts, refund of all fees minus 200 E for administration costs. On or after the course starts all fees are non-refundable.
   
• Behaviour. We reserve the right to expel students for unacceptable behaviour.
