Surfing in Montanita

Ecuador has a 1000km of  fantastic surf, and the best is at Montanita. Many believe it is the best consistently great surf in South America. What makes it so special. Well it is almost always clean surf with a consistent breaking wave. At high tide it is perfect for intermediate advanced surf, and low and mid tide for beginner/intermediate surf. The beach break is great for all, and the point break is just superb for advanced surfers. As well as this there more amazing surf north and south. Some 30 miles (50km) of great beach breaks. Hope in the bus (and they are sued to taking boards here!), travel for 10 minutes or a hour (its up to you!) hope off, and there will be a great break. Totally uncrowded.
Most of all Monanita is a surf town. It eats, lives and breathes surf. The culture here is laidback, and surf orientated. You will love it.
